Jun finds himself targeted by a series of invisible pranks, eventually unmasking Shadow X, a purple VTOL aircraft Cardbot with stealth capabilities and a mischievous personality. Shadow X resents being told what to do and challenges Jun to a duel, viewing the Metal Breath as an affront to his autonomy as a "free" Machinian. By observing the environment and tracking Shadow X’s physical shadow, Jun and Blue Cop manage to land a decisive blow, forcing the stealth bot to accept the reality of the sealing process. This episode explores the more rebellious elements of the Cardbot survivors and the difficulty of earning their respect.
